Finally with tires in stock, Chase would look forward to stickers for the race today. As it turned out, the advantage would be negated as all the top runners would opt for new tires today. With heavy rain the day before, the track lost some of its grip with most drivers about ½ second off their previous race's times. Chase would qualify 4th and had a good run going in the Pre-Final until a kart in front of him got loose and lost control coming out of the chicane leading to the front straight. Chase had nowhere to go but the grass where his kart stalled and was stuck with the tires spinning once he got it re-fired. Valuable time was lost as he struggled to pull it onto the track. The mishap would see Chase starting the Final from deep in the field in the 15 spot. He would race hard working his way up to 6th before the checkered flew ending his charge towards the front. The finish would see him drop in the points, now 3rd overall in the standings.
