Another fast day at the track today with conditions close to perfect. With a tire order that didn't come in as expected, Chase would have to fight with tires that were already past their prime by a good margin. Even with that setback, he took third in Qualifying. He would hold the position throughout the Pre-Final with an ending you would have to see to believe. With starting position so vital at this track, the driver just ahead of Chase opted to sit back on the last lap wanting Chase to pass him so he could take the prefered, inside starting position on the seconf row for the final. Chase would have nothing of it holding back instead of taking the pass. With the finish line approaching the two would play chess while 4th and 5th were bearing down on them in a hurry. All 4 would cross the line in a photo finish with Chase taking 3rd by a nose. In the final, Chase would make the pass in turn 1 and hold onto 2nd for a lap and a half but lost the position in the turn 7. He would keep it tight for the rest of the race but wouldn't have enough left to challenge for the position. Another 3rd place finish would give Chase valuable point and see him back in second overall in the points.
