Chase – Guest Speaker at Children with Diabetes conference in Toronto
 
 

Children with Diabetes is an organization designed to promote the understanding of the care and treatment of diabetes, especially in children.  The topic of the Toronto Conference was “Focus on Pumping”.  Research has shown that using an insulin pump is one of the best ways to manage type 1 diabetes.  Alongside other talented stars like CFL Grey Cup winner John Chick, Word Cup Bronze Medalist Snowboarder Mike Fisher, World Championship Outrigger Canoeist Leanne Stanley and Olympian, World Cup and Pan Am Games Canadian Rowing Team competitor Chris Jarvis, Chase spoke to over 350 people about how insulin pump therapy has helped him to pursue his goals in racing.  Sponsored by insulin pump manufacturer, Animas Canada and glucose tablet manufacturer, Dex4 Glucose, Chase is living proof that with the right tools and management, diabetes can’t stop anyone from achieving their dreams.  Click the “children with Diabetes” logo above for more information on this outsanding organization.

Brain Stewart Racing Karting Championship

Besides running in the HRKC and Stars of Canada, Chase will be competing in the well respected BSRKC (Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship).  Officially recognised by the Indy Racing League, The BSRKC Series intent is to advance karters into the higher echelons of motorsports through the Series’ namesake and Indy Racing League® Firestone Indy Lights™ Team Owner, Brian Stewart and Brian Stewart Racing.  Use the BSRKC link on the HVM Home page for more information…

Stars of Canada!!!

 

Selected from over 1000 Racers from across Canada that have submitting their Driver Bios, Chase has been accepted to participate in this exciting new Nationally Televised Series.  The Series event dates and locations are found on the HVM Race Calendar, with the exception of the location of the Finale. The Series has 4 proposals submitted to host the finale and the Stars of Canada will be deciding the location in the very near future. The first event weekend is the Full Throttle Mosport Grand Prix (DDT North Track), the second event weekend is the Monster Hamilton Grand Prix, the third event weekend will be the Rock Star Sutton Grand Prix, and the fourth event will see the series go back to Mosport for the Power Aid Mosport Grand Prix (DDT South Track). The finale is To Be Announced (TBA) and will be the Coca-Cola TBA Grand Prix.  Use the Stars of Canada link on the HVM Home page for more information…

Stepping up to the Junior Division

With Chase turning 13 in June of 2009, Chase will be leaving the ranks of the Cadet Class to enter the challenging Junior Division competing against drivers 12 – 15 years of age.  No longer runing the Cadet karts, Chase will be running a full size chassis powered by a 125cc liquid cooled engine capable of speeds up to 140 km/h in this highly competitive class
